A conversation with Dr Swee Ang Chai, author of "From Beirut to Jerusalem: A Woman Surgeon With the Palestinians" as she shares her experiences as an orthopaedic surgeon - volunteering and working with Palestinian refugees. There will also be a chance to ask questions!

About the Event
Dr Swee Ang Chai is an orthopaedic surgeon and co-founder of Medical Aid for Palestinians. In August 1982, she responded to an appeal for medical personnel to treat war casualties in Lebanon and went to work at the Gaza Hospital near the Sabra and Shatila refugee camp in Beirut. The following month, she became witness to the Sabra-Shatila massacre during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. Join us to hear her story, there will also be a Q+A session at the end!
